Fall: My Favorite Time of the Year

I love Autumn for so many reasons. It's changing from a season that flies by. Usually, by the time summer is finished, you’re exhausted from trying to fit in everything you’ve waited all winter to do.

With the start of autumn, cooler air brings longer walks through leaves that have changed color and dropped on the path underneath you. It's the sound of rustling they make under your feet as you stroll along a quiet road.

It’s snuggling up in your favorite reading chair by a large window and staring out at the changing scenery. It's sipping a cup of coffee, tea, or hot cocoa as you pull your favorite blanket over your lap, tuck your legs underneath you, and open a book.

It’s breathing in the musky aroma of leaves as they fall and blanket the ground, the smell of a gentle rain coming in, warm apple pies cooling off after coming out of the oven, and pumpkin spice creamer.

Coming out of a season that’s so busy, you may not have been able to take the time to look around you and enjoy what is important. Fall is a reminder to stop, take a deep breath, and relax. It's a chance to look around and be grateful as you reflect on what matters.

Fall is my favorite time to reread a favorite book. Is there a book that you have read more than once?

Mine is 'In Search of Eden' by Linda Nichols.
